"Wood burning stove won international design award"
Danish wood-burning stove specialist Scan, part of The Jøtul Group, ranks in the international design world’s top division together with Ligne Roset, Villeroy & Boch, Artemide, Design House Stockholm, Mercedes-Benz, and Alfa Romeo. The wood-burning stove series Scan 58, has received the highly acclaimed "red dot" honourable mention for outstanding design. ‘red dot’ dates back to 1955 and is awarded annually for outstanding design across several categories. The Scan 58 stove concept has innovative design from Harrit and Sørensen, one of Denmark’s leading design houses.
The stoves have an elliptical shape that creates its own special expression, highlighted by the different variants with curved side glass panels to give a unique view to the fire. A choice of three different burn chambers combined with three different base modules, in addition to a heat storing soapstone and an elegant glass top make this a truly distinctive concept.
